The Designer
Hi ! I'm Abhishek Amin. My friends also call me Abhi, or Bee if everything else is too hard to pronounce lol. I'm a game designer with an engineering background. I have learned a lot about game design throughout my time here in Canada and I continue to learn every day. If my projects caught your eye feel free to reach out! The Lego Blocks Method
The Lego Blocks Method is my personal game design approach that allows designers to create independent systems that can be combined in endless creative ways. This method was created to help designers and programmers work around crunch and lessen the time it takes to create games.
For example, a designer could create a resource gathering system, a crafting system, and a weather system, all of which interact with each other. This method gives designers the flexibility to mix and match these systems to create unique gameplay experiences.
They could combine the resource gathering system with the weather system to create dynamic environmental challenges, or combine the crafting system with the weather system to create weather-dependent crafting abilities.
This approach gives designers a lot more control and allows for a wide variety of gameplay possibilities. The "Lego Blocks" can also be tweaked and reused in other games leading to faster development times.
